Lumen Sapientiae is a nonprofit, based in Huarmey, Peru. Lumen focuses on social and economic development in behalf of low income communities facing extreme poverty.  Lumen works among small communities of fisher folks along Northern Peruvian coast.   Lumen’s Board of Directors it is a group of experienced professionals who voluntarily share their time between their job as executives in private enterprises, university teaching and social entrepreneurship.   

Lumen provides actual hands-on training for life. It is a "learn to earn" method fostering innate marketable skills that allow poor people to obtain and retain employment that pays living wages, overcome poverty, generate well being and sustain in a permanent basis.
